It's not surprising I am still on a fitness high after the amazing workshop by Amy Dixon. OK, I can admit it, it was a bit challenging to walk down the stairs this morning, my calf muscles (gastroc and soleus) are tight!!! But otherwise I feel great. I pushed it this weekend, I dug a little deeper. Not at every workout, but at least 2 times in every session I gave it my all - in spite of being 6 months pregnant.
Today my suggestion, my motivation, my encouragement is - do a little more, go a little faster, lift a little heavier than you normally do. Not necessarily for the entire duration of your workout, but try a couple of time periods to DIG DEEP. Continue with that ride and before you know it, you will have increased your duration of exercise, your speed or even how much weight you lift. Face it.....nothing in our life is only 5 pounds, not our kids, not our purses, or the grocery bags. If you are coming to class tonight.....be prepared to take it up a notch, your hard work will pay off. You know it will.
