I lost it....I can't believe it but I did. NOT my keys, NOT my mind, NOT my temper.......my mojo, my motivation, to eat well and be active. I felt LOST.  

I was burning the candle at both ends for too long....up late to get things done for Reel Life, sometimes getting up too early to do the same thing.  Family is my priority but to be honest, at times, I felt like I wasn't as present as I could have been. I was trying to manage and do all that moms do, running the house and felt like I was not doing a great job there either...I was paralyzed.... and I LOST the desire to move my body.  I turned to food to fill the stress, the void and angst of being overwhelmed.......DAMN IT.

I know that I am not ALONE. Please tell me I am not alone!

It hit me the other day when I was planning my class 10 classes per week and all of the Personal Training sessions I had scheduled.

I am NOT a Stay at HOME mom.  I often refer to myself as one......but that is not true.  I needed to be honest with myself.  I can't do it all on my own, I needed to ask for help to get back on track, to thrive, to feel alive again.  I had to take things off my list, and let some things go (THIS IS A TOUGH ONE FOR ME). Can you relate? 

I don't go to an office after morning drop off with the kids, I go to teach fitness classes. I encourage and motivate you, or people like you who want to be the best version of themselves.  I HAVE NOT BEEN THE BEST VERSION OF ME....but I am on my way back!

My Coaching and Personal Training business is exploding.....I love it. But what I have realized that when we get busier, when we have these transitions in our lives.....and have to do overtime, meet deadlines or even go back to work from being on maternity leave.....we have to 'learn' to fit FITNESS back into our lives. Even if fitness is your job.

Why am I sharing this with you today?

Because I had a choice, just like you have a choice, either I stayed 'paralyzed' or PUSHED out and PUSHED back.....I wanted to feel myself again, because I am 'reel', because this is the only life I have.

I am a woman, a mom, who for about 6 weeks was in a slump, who was really doing the bare minimum for activity...and certainly wasn't following the my own Healthy Habits that I share with you and the other 'reel' woman in my community.  



1. I started with the Power of Monday - made sure that I ate well and was active - I started the week of right. 

2. I followed the RULE of 2 - not letting more than 2 days go by without being active or eating well.   That 3rd day of inactivity or eating poorly can be a game changer.....

3. I put my fitness first....I examined my schedule and took a really good look at what needed to shift.  Started small with 30 min blocks.  I needed to build on my own success. I needed to acknowledge that getting a sweat on for me....is a huge stress reliever. NO guilt, NO excuses, JUST do it.  Saturday after I teach my two classes back to back I have been going for a run from the location of Boot Camp...why?  Because every time I go home, I get sucked into the vortex of laundry and my to do list waiting for the boys to come back from their activities with Daddy.  

4. Put on an alarm or timer on your phone - this has been a game changer for me....I love it. Every hour on the hour I have an alarm go off...a nice sweet reminder of my focus for that hour ahead and to celebrate the choices and accomplishments of the previous hour.  Try it - I betcha you love it too. 

If you have LOST your way....take a big breath in and a big breath out, and make choices that will get you where you want to be. Start with the Rule of 2 or carve off at least 1 workout time this week. Start small, but start....you won't regret it.

I absolutely love this!! Give and Receive to YOURSELF and to others (who nurture and support you) and Ignore all that does not fit with your goals, dreams and wants......you will SUCCEED!
